
Dr. Inder P. Singal earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his residency training in ophthalmology at The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary where he served as Chief Resident, then continued to The University of Toronto, St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, for his fellowship in medical and surgical vitreoretinal diseases.
Dr. Singal believes in providing first-class eye care with understanding and compassion. His passion for serving patients reaches far beyond the Kentuckiana region. He has traveled abroad to provide medical and surgical eye care services to patients in many regions. Within the last several years, Dr. Singal has committed much of his time to the Belize Council for Visually Impaired, visiting almost quarterly to help provide the gift of sight and improve the quality of life for the people in many villages of Belize.
With his desire to constantly improve care to his patients, he continues to research and study eye disease and is widely published in scientific journals and ophthalmology publications. Dr. Singal has presented at national meetings for the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
He is a co-curator for Retina Rocks, the world’s largest online multimedia retina image library and bibliography repository. He is currently a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists, American Medical Association, Louisville Ophthalmology Society, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
