Dr. Nikolaos “Nick” Zagorianos recently joined Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers as a consultative optometrist. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston in Houston and his optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He completed his residency in Ocular Disease at the world renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. He focuses on the medical management of eye disorders, including glaucoma, dry eye and pre-and post-operative care.
Dr. Zagorianos has given presentations on various topics and has published many articles. Throughout his career, not only has he received Letters of Clinical Excellence, but he also has taught courses on ocular anatomy and ocular disease to pre-optometry students. TEXOCOP granted him the “Most Outstanding Instructor Award” for two years in a row. He has been honored with several other awards including the Allergan Ocular Disease Resident Fellowship, HOYA Vision Care Scholarship, Varilux Award of Excellence, Ocular Instruments Ocular Disease Award of Excellence, and the Contamac Contact Lens Induced Related Disease Award.
Dr. Zagorianos is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, the Greater Louisville Optometric Society, and the Kentucky Optometric Association. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
